The tea room, open for 2 hours before the performance, offers an English afternoon tea with freshly made scones, strawberry jam and Cornish clotted cream with a choice of teas. Also available, a selection of delicious savoury scones and English recipe cakes.
On Sunday 6 August it will be three months to the day since the coronation of King Charles, so we will be celebrating with a special tea in the style of exclusive hotels. Further details will be published on Facebook in due course.
This year we have teamed up with the Ferme de l’Egrassière at Cheviré le Rouge to offer you a choice of organic artisanal ice creams and sorbets.
Bar
The bar is open for 2 hours before each performance and during the interval, selling Pimms , chilled Crémant de Loire and other drinks.
Supper sandwiches
For guests who only wish to eat a light supper, we offer a selection of “interval supper sandwiches” in our tea room. With three different fillings (which change for each opera), the sandwiches are accompanied by crisps and a side dish of coleslaw. There is also a choice of entrées, local cheeses and puddings made by our volunteers A selection of wines by the glass or in a carafe are available.
Supper sandwiches should preferably be pre-ordered on line or in the tearoom before the start of the performance as places are limited. Prices start at €11 and vegetarian options are available.
