Where to spend the interval
The gardens at Les Capucins will be open as usual from 2 hours before curtain up on opera performance nights (except on 23rd July). You are equally welcome to picnic in the garden of the Hôtel-Dieu or elsewhere around the CCRA.
Free minibuses will be on standby to transport picnickers to and from the CCRA to Capucins but please tell us if you want a place on one.
We will organise animation at Les Capucins to create a festive atmosphere.
The interval will be extended to 105 minutes to allow for moving between the CCRA and Les Capucins.
Bring your own picnic or order one from us (our supplier is Patisserie Bernard). Picnics ordered from us can be collected at the CCRA at the beginning of the interval. They will be packed in containers with handles to make them easy to carry without spillnig the contents.
Tables and chairs can be hired in advance at Les Capucins, but you are welcome to bring your own.
As always we will set up a restaurant which will be open on opera nights in the Orangerie at Les Capucins. Meals will be supplied by us in cooperation with the restaurant O Coin des Baugeois.
Tea room “Jubilee”
The tea room will be at the CCRA this year and will have at its theme this year’s pltinum jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Why not come early (up to 2 hours before curtain up) and enjoy an English cream tea and a selection of the sandwiches and cakes created for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations?
During the interval sandwiches will be available for those who prefer a light supper.
There is car parking at the Hôtel-Dieu adjacent to the CCRA, and at Les Capucins on the field where traditionally we erect the temporary theatre. Parking at Les Capucins will be clearly marked.
Toilets will be available in the CCRA and at Les Capucins.
