Conducting Course/Competition Opéra de Baugé
In summer 2017, Opéra de Baugé and conductor Konstantinos Diminakis will hold a conducting course at Les Capucins, Baugé-en-Anjou, France. The course is designed for advanced students of conducting and for young conductors who have concluded their professional training, wishing to extend their knowledge and experience in conducting and the interpretation of works of the symphonic and operatic repertoire under the guidance of maestro Diminakis. Moreover, selected participants will have the chance to lead actual stage piano rehearsals with singers, for this year’s productions of Opéra de Baugé.
Professional piano répétiteurs will play for the class and the Opéra de Baugé Orchestra will follow. The conducting course will be concluded with a public concert, conducted by the students and a jury panel will award honour prizes to the best contestants.
Each contestant will receive a video of his or her performance at the final concert.
